Another Party At The Aviary

There's going to be another party at the Aviary...
and you're invited!!!

Come and join us for our 10th annual Bonfire At The Aviary. We will have lots of food, games and a fabulous fireworks display** (weather permitting). You are welcome to hike the nature trails, join in the games and, of course, visit the birds! (it's their party too....)

  So mark your calendars...

A Bunch of Bananas

Last year, unfortunately, Sunbury experienced a massive wind storm which leveled the banana trees just one week before the bonfire. This year they are growing rapidly and are already above 12'. Good luck with your guess!

**Special Note**

In case you are wondering about the effects of the fireworks being set off around the birds...? For three weeks before the party small amounts of fireworks are set off around the farm each night to accustom the birds to the noise and star spangled bursts. Most of the birds are outside all summer so they have had many exposures to public and private displays. Our parrots are our greatest priority and their safety and health (both physically and emotionally) our of our utmost concern.

Food

There Will be Lots of Food! Hot Dogs, Bratwurst, Hamburgers, Baked Beans, Potato Salad and Coleslaw and various other side dishes.

We will have lots of pop, beer and an open bar. Feel free to bring your drinks of choice.

If you want to bring a side dish or desert we can use items in these categories.

Time Table of Events

Open House 12:00 – 4:00
Party starts at 5:00
Food will be available starting at 6:00 – 12:00
Bon fire starts at 8:00 – 12:00
Fire Works 9:30

We have some chairs but if you have some easily transported lawn chairs you should bring them along.

Tents will keep us dry if it rains.

Hartman Aviary is located near the small town of Sunbury about 15 minutes north of Columbus, Ohio and is just 3 minutes from Interstate I-71.
